Similar to Wikipedia’s purpose to benefit readers by acting as an encyclopedia (a comprehensive written compendium that contains information on all branches of knowledge). Milk the Funk Wiki will provide a more focused and controlled narrative on alternative yeast and bacteria fermentation with an emphasis in alternative brewing techniques. We also wish to provide industry knowledge by providing brewery bios of breweries experimenting in the same subject that wish to participate.  This Wiki is an early work in progress, but information will be continually added as it is received. YOU are what will make this Wiki successful!

Second to the MTF Wiki and more robust than the MTF Facebook Group, the forum should be used for long term conversations, topics, and complex discussions that need to be preserved. The benefit to a forum is that it is SEARCHABLE and topics are inserted into appropriate categories or sub-forums. No social media platform can replace a good forum and its purposes.

Milk the Funk (MTF) began as a simple idea to get home brewers interested in more advanced and “funky” topics on March 6, 2013. Since its inception, Milk the Funk is becoming a communal authority on alternative yeast and bacteria fermentation with an emphasis in alternative brewing techniques.
